Generally, it\u2019s good to check the driver’s integrity to ensure it’s coming from a trusted manufacturer and is certified by Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite all the advantages of driver signature enforcement, there are some specific scenarios where it needs to be disabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For instance, some programs’ driver files don\u2019t have digital signature authentication because they don\u2019t pay Microsoft to get a verified certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the quickest and easiest way to disable driver signature enforcement. Here\u2019s how it works!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Step 1: <\/strong>Click on the system’s Start button and type \u201cCommand Prompt<\/strong>\u201d. Further, press \u201cRun as administrator<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Step 2: <\/strong>Execute the following command in the Command Prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver signature enforcement will be turned off! Step 2. <\/strong>In the Local Group Policy Editor (LGPE) window<\/strong>, from the left panel, head to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Driver Installation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Step 3. Right-click on the code signing for driver packages<\/strong> button and select Edit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Step 4. <\/strong> Check the Enabled radio button, <\/strong>and in the options menu<\/strong>, click on the dropdown and select Ignore. Finally, click OK <\/strong>to apply the changes accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
If you wish to re-enable driver signature enforcement, head back to step 4 and set the radio button to \u201cNot configured.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable Windows 10 Test Signing Mode<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
This method is for those who don\u2019t want to permanently disable driver signing. You can put Windows 10 in test mode and install unsigned drivers. Here\u2019s how to do it!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
